R G Austin Ltd was established in 1963 to serve homeowners in and around Blackheath. The founding generation built the business on residential plumbing work across SE3 — careful work, honest pricing, and a reputation that moved between neighbours without a single advertisement.
The business passed through two further generations, each adding depth rather than breadth. The second generation brought expanded capability in central heating engineering and full bathroom renovation management. The third generation — led by directors Jonathon and Jack Austin — added underfloor heating installation and a structured property maintenance service for local landlords.
Today, R G Austin Ltd operates across the same South East London postcodes that founded it: primarily Blackheath (SE3), Greenwich (SE10), Charlton (SE7), New Eltham (SE9), Lewisham (SE13), and Plumstead (SE18).
We deliberately limit the number of jobs we run simultaneously. Every project has a member of the Austin family as the direct point of contact — for assessment, for updates, and for sign-off at completion. That decision is what keeps our standards consistent across sixty-plus years of domestic work.
